much as i'd like to pretend that i am too cool for these thingies, i really want to answer the questions haha so here's my second journal entry in the last...day or so. new levels of incompetence

i can't boil an egg. i needed to hardboil one egg to complete my salad nicoise and i couldn't do it. i put water in the pan, put the egg in then turned the heat on. as the water boiled, the egg rattled in the pan. Apparently it cracked because a little bit of the white bit leaked out and became cooked outside of its shell. anyway, then the noise started to frighten me too much so i just turned the heat off and tried to peel it. i put the egg (still in its shell) in cold water so i wouldn't burn my fingers but when i opened the shell, boiling water spilled out (as well as egg leaking out, some water obviously got in). after i recovered from

ok, i was flicking through my cousin's GQ magazine and i found this recipe. apparently it is "Point 3 of the 5 Point Plan for December - Spice Up Your Holiday Party" "so whether you're hosting or going to a cocktail party this month, make spiced nuts. they're easy, and everyone will be really impressed.
